Why You Need the Original JAMB Result Slip
Many candidates often confuse the free online result notification (which can be checked via SMS or the portal) with the Original Result Slip.
While the basic notification simply shows your score, the Original Result Slip is an official, secure document generated directly by JAMB. It features:
- Your official passport photograph.
- Advanced security features to prevent forgery.
- Your chosen institutions and courses.
- A breakdown of your scores in all four UTME subjects.
Important Note: Tertiary institutions do not accept the basic result notification for formal processing. You strictly require the Original Result Slip during post-UTME screening, physical clearance, and final university registration.
How to Print Your 2026 JAMB Original Result Slip
Starting Monday, May 18, 2026, candidates can access and print their documents using two main channels.
Option 1: Self-Service via the JAMB e-Facility Portal
If you are internet savvy and have a computer connected to a printer, you can complete this process from the comfort of your home:
- Visit the official JAMB e-Facility portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng.
- Log in using the email address and password associated with your JAMB profile.
- Once on your dashboard, locate and click on the “Print Result Slip” service option.
- Make the mandatory processing fee payment of ₦1,500 directly on the portal using online payment channels (Remita, Debit Card, etc.).
- After a successful transaction, select your exam year (2026) and enter your JAMB Registration Number.
- Your original result slip will load as a PDF document. You can download and print it in full color.
Option 2: Visit an Approved JAMB CBT Centre
If you prefer professional assistance or encounter portal issues, you should visit any JAMB-accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre or JAMB office nearest to you. Avoid roadside cybercafés for this process to guard your biometric and profile data against fraudulent actors.
Crucial Safety Warning from JAMB
Alongside the release date, JAMB issued a stern warning advising candidates to remain vigilant against scammers.
⚠️ BEWARE OF FRAUDSTERS: JAMB explicitly warns candidates against falling victim to individuals offering "result upgrading" or "score inflation" services. JAMB's database is highly secure, and attempting to present a falsified result slip will result in automatic disqualification and potential prosecution.
